Having played goalie about 40 years ago in an over-the-hill
men’s league, I never made saves that were ever spectacular as
those 10 shown. In fact, I usually never made saves at all, as
many of the final scores were like 25-23.
My two young boys were always behind my net to cheer me on
or shake their heads when an easy shot found the 5-hole, time
and again. Memories, memories.
So as I replay those saves that Zman presented for us,I shake my head in disbelief and in wonder at the incredulous moves
the NHL goalie is able to make when the puck seems unstoppable – predestined to find the back of the net.
Worthy presentation for hockey fans of all ages, Zman.
Hockey is not real big down here in Texas (maybe the 105 degree weather has something to do with it), so I may not be the best judge of good hockey. But those did appear to be some phenomenal saves!
